"COMBUSTION"

Ignite has put out a prayer call under the banner of COMBUSTION (see below). This is aiming to draw groups and individuals around the world to sign up to pray and fast for God's reviving work in our midst. Different Methodist groups are supporting Ignite in this. Please read and sign up to join the COMBUSTION prayer call.

Some suggestions we made for use in the year but can be used at other times are :- ,

24-7 Prayer Rooms/Areas Create a prayer room or area and get people to sign up to pray for an hour slot, to cover a day or a week of prayer. This is an explosive movement of prayer that has God's breath of the Spirit behind it. It is particularly envisioning a whole youth movement of radical Christians to pray, but it is for the whole church.

Prayer Gathering - a vibrant way of corporate praying, in a stream of worship, teaching and intercession. As part of a Sunday service, or as a special event, this is a brilliant way of harnessing people's desire to pray into their church's vision and mission for a hurting, lost world. Such prayer times can be strategic and ground-breaking for a church or group of congregations.

Prayer stand/tent in your community - simply offering people who pass by an opportunity to write down a prayer request, light a candle, or have someone pray for them. Or use 'Prayerpoints' ideas from Evangelical Alliance, encouraging local shops & businesses to place a Prayerpoint facility in a prominent place, where written prayer requests can be collected by local Christians
